Purpose of Livestock Card for Farmers
The financial life of farmers can improved through the Livestock Card. One of its objectives is that interest-free loans will be provided to farmers through this card, which will help improve their financial situation. Minister for Livestock Ashiq Hussain stated that the card will provide loans up to Rs 27,000 per animal to farmers. Providing Financial Assistance to Farmers
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on this occasion that interest-free loans for four months will be provided to farmers through the Livestock Card, which will help them meet their basic needs along with taking care of their livestock. Under this initiative, the government has allocated Rs4.4 billion for financial assistance to farmers, which will distributed among 15,000 farmers over two years.

Financial Benefits Under Livestock Card
Farmers will get a slew of financial benefits through the Livestock Card. A farmer will get a loan of Rs. 135,000 for five animals and Rs. 270,000 for ten animals. In addition to that, close to 967 dealers have registered to provide livestock feed, hay, silage, and mineral mixture for farmers, which will make their requirements complete.
Registration and Beneficiary Farmers
Registration of farmers through Livestock Cards is now underway. So far, 117,000 farmers have registered on the online portal, out of which 13,000 farmers have declared eligible so far. The registration of 91,907 animals for the Livestock Card has completed, to ensure that every farmer has complete data on their livestock, so that loans and other facilities can be easily provided.
